The Corcoran Alumni Association and Career Services are looking for 100 enthusiastic alumni who are willing to share their perspective, experience and encouragement with current Corcoran BFA students. In order to be selected as a mentor, you should be willing to contact the Junior or Senior 5 times during the school year and attend the All Senior Show in May.
Your communication could be by email or phone with the first one being a welcome greeting at the beginning of the school year.
Other contacts would be made to offer encouragement during finals, at the start of the second semester, and in February when preparation is made for summer jobs. The mentor could provide information and ideas on internships, graduate school and permanent employment opportunities, but most of all you would act as a resource to those about to enter the work world.
