BFA Design Department News

Congrats to students and faculty from the BFA design department for their recent accomplishments:

  • BFA Design students Keziah Chong and Maribel Gray's custom typefaces were selected for View Chong's project here and Gray's project here.
  • Numerous Corcoran BFA Design students, alumni and faculty were selected as winners for the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington (ADCMW) 63rd Annual Show competition and exhibition.  Design Lab students Michael Theodoran, Nancy Palm, Katherine Carberry, Ronald Cortez, Ken Zinser, and Derek Long were merit winners for the NEXT Exhibition Brand Program. BFA Design alumni Fernando Alex Diaz was a merit winner with Hirshorn Zuckerman Design Group for the 77H Logo project.  BFA Design alumni and adjunct instructor Brian Lemen of Hinge was a merit winner for the Hinge for the Holidays Cookbook. Chair of Undergraduate Design, Francheska Guerrero had two projects selected.  Francheska's 2011 OPEN Exhibition project was a gold winner, and her Kitchen Redux branding/identity and tea towel design was a merit winner.   • BFA Design alum and adjunct Instructor Nathan Hill exhibited design work at the NY Book Fair.  As owner of Nathan Hill Design, Nathan was the only DC representative at this year's book fair.
