One of the most important figures in graphic design and illustration, Seymour Chwast’s award-winning work has revolutionized and energized the way people look at design. From the start of his career over 50 years ago, Chwast’s conceptual, colorful, and relevant designs have earned him an international reputation. With innumerable projects to his credit—including posters, packaging, books for children and adults, typefaces, and logos—Chwast continues to influence future generations of designers. For his lecture, Chwast discusses his life and career—from attending WPA-sponsored art classes to co-founding Push Pin Studios with Milton Glaser—and what inspires his iconic designs.
