April 12, 2012

The Watercolor Prize competition in Fabriano, Italy is a biennial exhibition held at the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana and traveling within Europe. As the American juror among several Italian jurors for the 2012 competition, Lynn Sures, Fine Art Chair, selected four mid-career artists to represent the USA. Fine Arts students Jihee Katelyn Kang and Daesik Kim were selected to represent the Corcoran. Their paintings have been sent to Italy and will be hung in the museum through the summer and published in the catalog, along with those of established artists and some students from Italy. Congratulations to Katelyn and Daesik!
