Designer/Front-end Web Developer

Description:
Poccuo is a young, award winning design firm looking to add a creative and motivated individual who will
assist with print and web design work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Because we’re a small shop,
the right candidate will need to be a “jack of all trades,” be willing to contribute to projects big or small, be able
to juggle multiple assignments, and be well organized and self-motivated. If you’re interested in becoming

General Responsibilities:
* Working with the creative team to plan and design websites.
* Assisting with web development tasks including writing HTML/CSS for websites and eBlasts.
* Working with the creative team to update or produce print projects ranging from invitations to
annual reports.
* Providing ongoing support for existing websites including adding/updating content and implementing
new features.
* Formatting research and strategy presentations.
* Assisting with a variety of random tasks on the behalf of our clients including maintaining
Twitter/Facebook accounts, adding content to blogs, assisting with database upkeep, monitoring
analytics, etc.
A Few Required Qualifications:
* Proven experience in creating effective design for print and web.
* A BA or BFA in graphic design and/or web development.
* Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop and knowledge of print production standards.
* Proficiency with HTML/CSS and an understanding of current web development standards.
A Few Desired But Not Required Qualifications:
* 1-2 years experience is preferred but not required for application.
* Proficiency with Flash (AS2 or 3), PHP, and/or javaScript ( jQuery).
* Familiarity with ExpressionEngine, Drupal, and other CMSs.
* Familiarity with Democracy in Action (Salsa).
* Experience with video editing/production.
* Experience working directly with clients/vendors.
