Jason Gottleib

Jason Mathews Gottlieb, a Digital Media major from the class of 2007, received the Graphis Gold Award for Excellence for his work titled Hao Wei Dao. Also called Good Flavor Island, this piece is part of a series of digital works that focus literally and metaphorically on self-portraiture. “In these works my surroundings and physical appearance fluctuate, at once disguising and revealing my body in verisimilitude and artifice,” Jason writes.

The award recognizes the best internationally produced student work in advertising, design, and photography. The work will be featured in the Graphis New Talent Annual 2007 (available in December 2007).
