Muse as muse!

This summer, the Corcoran College of Art + Design partnered with Todd Gray’s Muse at the Corcoran to develop a class in which students gained real-world experience in brand development.  The class paired interior design students in a unique opportunity to collaborate together on the graphic identity of Muse. Students were tasked with fusing Todd Gray's culinary arts with the Corcoran's applied arts to develop a cohesive vision for the café's graphics and built environment. Through an in-depth look at the café and branding process, students worked to develop a branding package to be pitched to Muse owners and other judges.

On Wednesday, August 8, students will present their designs to a panel of judges.  One pair of students will be chosen to see their designs come to life at the café and will be awarded a prize. 

The panel of judges include:

Todd C. Gray & Ellen K. Gray, co-owners of Muse at the Corcoran,Equinox and Watershed restaurants
Nycci Nellis, Jason Reaves, local pastry chef, and winner on the Food Network Challenge
Roberto Donna, James Beard Award-winning Italian chef
Doron Peterson, owner of Sticky Fingers Bakery, winner of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars

This class is taught by Darlene Molnar, adjunct instructor in interior design.
