Peggy Loar Announces an Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Dr. William Richardson holds a BA in History and Russian from the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as both MA and Ph.D. degrees in History from the University of California, Berkeley. His most recent positions include Interim Dean of Communication and Creative Media, Champlain College, Burlington, VT for the last year, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Antioch University, Santa Barbara, CA from 2010-2012 and Dean of the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina University from 2006-2010. 

During his time as the Dean of Communication and Creative Media at Champlain College in Vermont, Dr. Richardson supervised the work of nine undergraduate programs and one graduate MFA program, aided in the institutionalization of best practices within the division and across the College, as well as assisted with the new graduate degree program in Shanghai China.  While the Dean at Edwards College of Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina, he led and monitored the accreditation for the Department of Music, (NASM) Department of Theater (NAST) and Department of Visual Arts (NASAD).
