Put a Corc in It! Reception On November 15 at the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel

Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel and the Corcoran College of Art + Design Present the 4th Installation of Put a CORC in It!

 

Washington, DC  (Nov.  8, 2011) -  The Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel and the Corcoran College of Art + Design will celebrate the synergy between art and hospitality with the fourth installation ofPut a CORC in It!  A collection of contemporary works from students at the Corcoran College of Art + Design will be on display in the lounge of the boutique hotel through March 12, 2012.

 

Set among the hotel’s eclectic M Bar lounge and restaurant, the new exhibition lends itself to the Renaissance experience designed for the modern discoverer who lives to unearth life’s hidden gems: collecting new tastes, sights, sounds, and experiences and making them their own.

“We are thrilled to be able to present undiscovered student work in our Lounge and invite locals and hotel guests to experience  the talent available here in DC and even take the pieces home to add to their  personal collections, “ said Matt Felix, General Manager of Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel.

 

The newestPut a CORC in It!installation will be celebrated on November 15that 6pm with a wine tasting with artisanal cheeses and light hors d’oeuvres from Chef Devon Capili.  Corcoran leadership and supporters will join hotel guests and friends of the Renaissance Dupont Circle to honor the artists.

The launch of the fall installation ofPut a CORC in It! is timed to the start of the Corcoran’s 2011-2012 academic year. Centered on the idea of direct and intense creative education, the Corcoran is Washington’s only four-year college of art and design and one of the only museum-schools in the country.
