The Corcoran Library is making progress on our space re-design. The information desk is now the first thing that greets you as you walk in the front door. Be prepared to see our friendly faces the next time you walk in!
The Corcoran Library is conducting a partial re-design of our space over the break. Our goal is to open up more space and provide additional seating and study areas. Thanks to Operations and IT, we hope to have much accomplished before classes resume, but we will post notice of any potential continued disruptions.
Performance artist Andrea Fraser discusses her work Men on the Line, KPFK, 1972, which she brings to the Corcoran on January 29, one day after giving a Visiting Artist lecture. The performance—Fraser’s first in Washington, D.C.—re-enacts a radio program from 1972 in which four men discuss their reactions to the women’s movement. Fraser plays all four roles.
Starting Tuesday, December 18 through Tuesday, January 22, the Corcoran Library will operate on Winter Break hours: M-Th 9-6, F 9-5, Sa-Su Closed. We will close early Monday, December 24 (call to verify hours, 202-478-1544). We will be closed December 24-28, and January 21.
