Nicole Eisenman's work takes the form of installations of paintings, drawings, collages, assemblages, found objects and murals. Known in equal measures for her bitingly humorous attacks on art historical conventions and the relationships between the sexes, her current work depicts scenes of social interactions in contemporary settings, both public and private.
In addition to her current exhibition at Leo Koenig Inc. in New York (closing Dec 23) Nicole Eisenman has a solo exhibition at the Tang Museum, Skidmore College, NY. She has also had solo shows at the Kunsthalle, Zurich, Switzerland, Barbara Weiss Gallery, Berlin, Germany, and Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, in Mexico City, The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, The Central Museum Utrecht, Holland and the San Francisco Art Institute.
