Magazines front and center!

Magazine shelves at the Corcoran Library

Were you tired of wondering where the magazines were in the Corcoran Library? So were we. That's why we've moved them as part of space re-design. More changes are to come, so please continue to excuse our dust as the semester begins.

You may notice a few changes at the Corcoran Library

Information desk relocated to front doorThe Corcoran Library is making progress on our space re-design. The information desk is now the first thing that greets you as you walk in the front door. Be prepared to see our friendly faces the next time you walk in!

Excuse our dust!

Corcoran Library space planning

The Corcoran Library is conducting a partial re-design of our space over the break. Our goal is to open up more space and provide additional seating and study areas. Thanks to Operations and IT, we hope to have much accomplished before classes resume, but we will post notice of any potential continued disruptions.

Interview with Andrea Fraser

Performance artist Andrea Fraser discusses her work Men on the Line, KPFK, 1972, which she brings to the Corcoran on January 29, one day after giving a Visiting Artist lecture. The performance—Fraser’s first in Washington, D.C.—re-enacts a radio program from 1972 in which four men discuss their reactions to the women’s movement. Fraser plays all four roles.
