Gallery Administrator Opening

Guarisco Gallery is hiring for a full-time administrative position. Person will be involved in all of the daily activities of the gallery but will focus heavily on marketing and sales.

Position Duties:

National Ideas Competition for the Washington Monument Grounds

The purpose of the National Ideas Competition for the Washington Monument Grounds is to encourage Americans of all ages to develop innovative and creative ideas for making the Washington Monument grounds more welcoming, educational, and effectively used by the public. The idea for this Competition came out of a realization that while the Washington Monument is the defining feature of the Washington DC skyline and the centerpiece of the National Mall, at ground level its vast open space remains unfinished and underutilized.

Art Teacher Opening

Archbishop Carroll High School, a Catholic high school in Washington, seeks an art teacher for the 2010-11 school year.  Classes taught include everything from 9th grade art appreciation to International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme studio and art history courses.  Strong candidates will also have a background in digital art and design; exhibit the ability to establish productive classroom routines and procedures; and have a desire to break down the components of the creative process for both eager and reluctant teen artists.  For more information and to submit a resume, contact Mary E.

FotoWeek DC, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, is committed to raising awareness of the power of photography everywhere, in all its forms. Now in its third year, the FotoWeek DC International Awards Competition continues to innovate and find new ways to engage photographers around the world.
