Join Emirati artists Alia Lootah, Jalal Luqman, Dr. Najat Makki and Noor Al Suwaidi as they share their personal experiences contributing to the burgeoning art scene in the United Arab Emirates. In dialogue with the Corcoran’s Andy Grundberg, they will discuss their successes and challenges as artists in the UAE as it becomes an international center of culture.

Call for Student Volunteers – Washington National Portfolio Day!

December 4, 2010 – 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

It’s that time of year again for Washington’s National Portfolio Day! We are expecting over 1,000 prospective students, parents and guests on campus and your help is needed and MUCH appreciated. Volunteer duties include but are not limited to, welcoming guests to campus, providing direction to college tables, and of course sharing your Corcoran experience with prospective students.

ARTstor goes mobile!

The ARTstor Digital Library is now accessible to registered ARTstor users through the iPad, iPhone, and the iPod Touch, providing read-only features such as searching and browsing, zooming, and viewing saved image groups. ARTstor is also introducing the Flashcard View for ARTstor Mobile, which allows users to test their knowledge by viewing the image without textual information, and then flipping the image to reveal the image record.

Building Access over Thanksgiving Break

Wednesday, November 24, all College offices will be open; however, no classes will be held on the 24th.

The College will be closed November 25 through November 28 for Thanksgiving break.
