If you are registering for full-day camp, you must select both the FULL DAY AM and FULL DAY PM sessions. If you are registering for half-day camp, you must select an AM-ONLY or PM-ONLY session. Things that Fly A.M.
There has always been a fascination with flying. Explore various contraptions that take to the air- from kites to planes. Explore the process of design and create your own aerial works of art.
Pirates and Parrots P.M.
Ahoy mate! Hear some tales of famous pirates, their ships and hidden treasures. Create your own treasure maps, pirate persona and paint your way across the ocean!
July 21 –25 Hill Center Studio B (Ages 8-10)
Studio Bead A.M.
Ready, set, bead! String, glue, and fasten together colorful beads to make jewelry, art, and objects of your own design.
Marvelous Mobiles P.M.
Learn how artists such as Alexander Calder play with gravity and balance to create sculptures that move. Use paper cut-outs, wire, and other materials to build works of art to suspend from the wall or ceiling.
July 28 –August 1 Hill Center Studio B (Ages 8-10)
Transform your classroom doodles and rainy-day drawings into your own comic book. Campers learn conventions of cartooning, including storyboards, dialogue bubbles, and caricature.
Color Your World P.M.
Learn how color has been used as a means of expression for centuries by artists. Then create your own colorful 2D and 3D works of art using a variety of materials.
