Anyone who stops by to see her, even to say hi, will be entered into a drawing for a free copy of the book Go-Go Live, The Musical Life and Death of a Chocolate City, by Natalie Hopkinson.

Construction continues in the back area of the Library. Noise levels vary throughout the day. For your safety, do not enter the Library from the Gallery. Please use the College entrance at the top of the New York Avenue stairs.

Check out the Corcoran Library's new Research Guide on the CGA Pump Me Up exhibit. Dig deeper into the D.C. subculture of the 1980s through the suggested books, articles, videos, and images located at the Corcoran Library and beyond. Constance Bergfors Travel Research Prize

Applications for the Constance Bergfors Travel Research Prize are now being accepted. The Prize is intended to fund travel and research on an independent creative and/or research project developed by an enrolled graduate student in one of the Corcoran Masters programs. Proposals are solicited in one of three areas:

  • Art and Social Activism
  • Sustainability in Art and Design
  • East-West: The Art of Dialogue



Disruption in the Library, Monday March 11 & Tuesday March 12

There will be major disruptions in the Corcoran Library today (Monday 3/11) and tomorrow (Tuesday 3/12) during the next phase of our space redesign. The back area of the Library is closed. Please do not use the back entrance. Ask library staff members for assistance retrieving material from the TR659-Z area. The GRIFFIN printer/copier is offline - please send print jobs to the LION printer and use LION for copies. Noise levels will vary. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience, but hope it will improve the Library in the end!
