corporate, non-profit, and social events
Located across from the South Lawn of the White House, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s spectacular beaux arts building is a favorite venue for Washington’s most important corporate and non-profit events. Make history by entertaining in the capital’s oldest art museum.
Atrium and Bridge
Enjoy an elegant dinner or reception in the heart of Washington. When renting the Corcoran Gallery of Art for a private event, guests have access to the entire entertaining space, consisting of the Atrium and the Bridge. The beautiful, sky-lit Atrium is surrounded by 40 magnificent columns, perfect for large dinners or receptions. The Bridge on the second level overlooks the Atrium and is the perfect space to hold cocktails, a VIP reception, or an intimate dinner. Upon your request, galleries may be open on either level for a private viewing or docent-led tour.
The Atrium seats 300-400 guests for dinner and accommodates 900 guests for a standing reception. The Bridge level seats 100 guests for dinner and accommodates 200 guests for a reception.
Atrium: 29.6’ x 143.2’ / 4,239 square feet
Bridge: 46’ x 29’ / 1,334 square feet
Frances and Armand Hammer Auditorium
One of the Corcoran’s best-kept secrets is the Frances and Armand Hammer Auditorium. Complete with audio-visual capabilities and seating for 193 guests, the Corcoran’s auditorium is a uniquely designed space popular for lectures, presentations, film screenings, and musical performances.
AV capabilities include: LCD projector, two slide projectors, laptop for Power Point presentations, DVD/CD/VCR player, stage speakers, spotlight and house lighting, and Steinway baby grand piano.
Tucked away in the downstairs galleries, the Salon Doré provides a regal dining experience. The Salon is a gilded room paneled from floor to ceiling with Corinthian pilasters, trophy panels, garlands, and large framed mirrors created by the Comte d’Orsay in the 18th century. This room was originally part of the hôtel de Clermont, an important private residence in the old aristocratic quarter of Paris known as the Faubourg Saint-Germain. The Salon Doré seats 50 people, for dinner only.
Ruesch Conference Room
Our warm and secluded conference room is situated in the northeast corner of the Atrium. This beautiful, wood-paneled space is perfect for a meeting or cocktail reception. In-house catering may be arranged through the Todd Gray's Muse at the Corcoran, followed by a docent-led tour of one of the Corcoran’s renowned exhibitions. The Ruesch Conference Room seats 25 guests for a meeting and can accommodate 50 guests for a standing reception.
By far one of the most exquisite parties we have had! The facility was absolutely beautiful and the perfect venue for our holiday party. The exhibits were a huge draw for our crowd people raved about the party for weeks! We are holding an encore performance next year!
