About Exhibitions & Events
Through its wide range of visiting artists, faculty exhibitions, and student shows, the Corcoran College of Art + Design offers students exhibition opportunities, unique to other art programs, to showcase their work.
Gallery 31
Gallery 31 is the Corcoran’s dedicated exhibition space for the Corcoran College of Art + Design. The space hosts exhibitions by the Corcoran’s students, alumni, faculty, and visiting artists. The name was selected by the students, referring to the area’s previous designation as “Room 31” in original Corcoran plans. Located at the New York Avenue entrance of the Corcoran, Gallery 31 is open during Gallery hours and is free to the public.
White Walls & White Halls
These sprawling spaces display quickly rotating shows of student work throughout the academic year. Located in the heart of the College, the exhibition spaces are commonly used for critiques and serve as extended learning environments. White Walls and White halls are open during Gallery hours and are free to the public.
Off-site Collaborations
Partnering with hotels, embassies, galleries, and other institutions around the Washington, D.C. metro area provides the larger community with exposure to the work of our talented students.
