David Page

Associate Faculty, Sophomore Fine Arts Coordinator
Undergraduate - Fine Art

David Page, a native of Cape Town, South Africa is a sculptor, draftsman, and teacher. He was included in “Baltimore Liste” at the Contemporary Museum in 2011 and participated in the Evergreen Outdoor Sculpture Biennial in 2010. Recent solo shows include “Staan nader, staan terug!” (come closer, get away) at Stevenson University (2009) and “Extract Process Convey” at the Arlington Arts Center (2009). He received Individual Artist Awards from the Maryland State Arts Council in 2007 and 2009 and won the Trawick Prize in 2004. Public lectures include “From Yard Show to Drag Show, the work of Nick Cave.” at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (2009). He has taught at the Corcoran since 2004 and lives in Baltimore with his wife (and jewelry designer), Lauren Schott, and pitbulls, Mavis and Voltaire.
