


Juana Medina

Juana Medina was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where fascinated by movement and biomechanics, she studied Physical Therapy. In 2002, Juana moved to the United States, where she studied at the Corcoran College of Art + Design and concluded her education in Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Shortly after finishing her studies at RISD, Juana joined the Industrial Design Department, instructing students in graphic design principles and assisting the production of documentation material for Partnered Studios (LG, ESPN and others). Juana also taught Design Principles, an introductory core course in Industrial Design and served as thesis advisor to Master's candidates. Along with these duties, Juana participated as guest lecturer on multiple classes from the Graphic and Industrial Design departments at RISD, at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Juana's work has made it from bookstores in Latin America, to animations in Time Square, NYC. She has been awarded by the National Cartoonists Society and is a contributor for online publications in Europe and Latin America.
