Ms. McConnell began her career in Washington, D.C. as a graphic designer at the Library of Congress. She is noted for her book design work as Design Director at Time-Life Trade Publishing and Smithsonian Press, and as Art Director for People for the American Way, her favored civil liberties organization. Ms. McConnell is currently represented by Touchstone Gallery in Washington DC. She also exhibits her work in individual, group, and juried exhibitions throughout the North East and mid-Atlantic states and is collected around the country. Ms. McConnell has been an adjunct faculty member at the Corcoran College of Art and Design since 2002.
