Krystal Arnett Henson

Adjunct Faculty

Krystal Arnett Henson, LEED AP is the president of 40 Shades of Blue LLC, a full service graphic and interior design studio located in northern Virginia. She is also the founder of Walking Dot, an environmental education organization that strives to tread more lightly on the earth and help others do the same. Prior to opening her own studio in 2004, Krystal held the position of Creative Director at an online education company.

Krystal enjoys combining her passions for design and sustainability in the classroom to encourage students to embrace a role of environmental stewardship through design. She has more than 16 years of design experience and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She earned the degrees of Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Art History from The George Washington University and Masters of Interior Design from the Corcoran.
