Maria has over 20 years experience as a professional architectural illustrator and designer, executing commissions for a diverse range of clientele that includes architects, interior designers, corporate developers, and private institutions. Maria received her Bachelor of Science, Environmental Design from New York State University College at Buffalo. She began her professional design career in Toronto, Canada. She has also lived and worked in Boston, MA, Honolulu, HI and currently resides in Washington, DC. In addition to her professional commissions, Maria continues to expand her skills as a fine art watercolorist. Her work has been influenced by the architectural style of each region. Her commissions have been featured in national and local publications, including Traditional Home, Home & Design Magazine, and dcbydesignblog.com. Her fine art was presented at a solo gallery opening at AHM Gallery in Alexandria, VA. Maria continues to develop her skills by participating in continuing education, including master classes led by respected mentors in her field. She is also an active member in professional societies; she is the DC representative for the Southern Watercolor Society (SWS), and is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI), the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), and The Art League in Alexandria, VA.
