Mr. Leithauser is chief of design, senior curator at the National Gallery of Art, where he is responsible for the design and installation of all permanent and temporary exhibitions. Outside of his work with the National Gallery of Art and the Corcoran, Mr. Leithauser serves as an advisor to other museums and cultural institutions across the nation, including the Facilities and Fine Arts Committee, Washington National Cathedral; the Washington Studio School; and the Ford’s Theatre Advisory Council. He is also an exhibiting artist and illustrator. His work is represented in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Art. He has been an instructor at the Corcoran College of Art and Design since 2003.
