Robert Lasater

Robert Lasater is a partner in LasaterSumpter Design, Inc. The firm was founded in Boston, MA in 1980. In 1994, the firm relocated to the Washington D.C. area. Since founding, the firm has specialized in the development of comprehensive communication programs including brand strategy, branding, marketing communications, and signage systems. The firm's clients include non-profit and corporate clients in a range of business sectors encompassing financial services, real estate development, biomedical research, and healthcare. Prior to forming LasaterSumpter Design, Mr. Lasater was a senior designer at Brand Equity International in Boston, MA, working on a wide range of corporate branding programs.

Mr. Lasater was educated at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a graduate degree from Harvard University. He is involved in various professional organizations including the Society for Environmental Graphic Designers, American Institute of Graphic Arts, and was on the organizing committee for the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Boston chapter. He has lectured and spoken for various organizations including the AIGA Portland ME, the John Hancock Institute, and the Association for Independent Research Institutes. He resides on a farm in Sperryville, Virginia.
