The collection contains more than 35,000 volumes covering art, design, the humanities, and social sciences.

Artists’ Books

The collection contains a valuable, expanding collection of more than 200 artists’ books.

Scholarly Journals/Magazines

The Library subscribes to more than 190 print periodicals, including scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers. Electronic databases expand access to more than 11,000 periodicals.

Visual Resources (Slides/DVDs/ Videos)

The Library’s visual resources collection consists of approximately 32,000 slides, more than 1,200 DVDs and videos, and online subscriptions to ARTstor and AP Images.

Online Research Databases

The Corcoran Library subscribes to more than 20 online research and media databases that provide citations and abstracts to articles and books, high-quality images, and digital media. Many databases provide full-text access to articles, book reviews, conference proceedings, and more.
