NEA John
Renna Art Scholarship:
John Anthony Renna bequeathed his estate to the National Endowment of
the Arts (NEA) for the purpose of supporting scholarships for art students
of limited financial resources. The NEA John Renna Art Scholarships initiative
awarded a grant for the Corcoran College of Art + Design to provide scholarships.
With these funds, the Corcoran College will award four-year, half and
full tuition scholarships for full time enrollment beginning in Fall
2008. Students will be evaluated based upon their academic and artistic
accomplishments as revealed in their application for admission and their
financial need as evaluated through the Department of Education federal
methodology (FAFSA application results). Applications are due by February
15. Please contact the Corcoran Office of Admissions for further details
and an application.
Endowed Scholarships
There are a number of endowed scholarships given by generous donors to
the Corcoran. Each scholarship has specific recipient criteria. For
example, some are targeted only to returning students; others are targeted
to students in specific majors, or to students with financial need.
Eligible recipients of these scholarships are awarded on an annual
basis. For more information, please contact the Corcoran Office of
