The Career Resource Center is committed to helping artists with their career development by providing a variety of resources and information, including up-to-date listings of art-related jobs, internships, grants, scholarships, competitions, resume writing workshops, and career seminars with alumni and guest artists.

Each semester the Center hosts visits from various companies and organizations hoping to recruit students. Students may intern at the National Portrait Gallery, Air and Space Museum, Freer Gallery of Art, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and at the many other museums and offices associated with the Smithsonian. The Center also maintains a listing of organizations actively recruiting students for employment in fine arts, photography, and graphic design.

The Center coordinates career workshops and seminars for students with Corcoran faculty, as well as with well-known art professionals, art organizations and design firms. The Career Resource Center provides assistance for students who express an interest in internship programs.

The Career Resource Center is located in the main school office on the Downtown campus and serves all BFA students and alumni. The Director of Career Services has open office hours at the Downtown and Georgetown campuses. For further information contact the Director of Career Services.

Job and Internship listings exclusively for Corcoran students are posted as a part of the Corcoran Student email. All full-time BFA students receive a corcoran email account, which gives students-only access to job listings, internships, the student handbook, studio hours, and news. Special news or opportunities will also be sent to students via email.

These organizations represent a sampling of the many public and private sector internship opportunities our students participate in each year.
