Welcome Dr. Christine Leichliter, Dean of Enrollment!

I am very pleased to report that Dr. Chris Leichliter will join us as Dean of Enrollment, as of September 12, 2011.

Dr. Leichliter has over 35 years of experience in higher education, both in teaching and in administration. She began her career in West Virginia as a faculty member at West Virginia State College and West Virginia University, Parkersburg. She then held both teaching and administrative positions at Marietta College and Washington State College in Ohio. Her teaching areas include Writing and Public Speaking, and Teaching Methods in Secondary Education.

Art and the Book "+/- One Percent" Project

August 31, 2011

I am pleased to announce that not only has the "+/- One Percent" book edition project for the Art and the Book Studio II FA2010 course been recently sold to the University of Alberta, Bruce Peel Library Special Collections in Edmonton, Alberta Can. and to the University of Denver, Penrose Library Special Collections but it was recently acquired through Vamp and Tramp Book booksellers to the Special Collections at Carnegie-Mellon University and the University of Louisville.

The Corcoran College of Art and Design is pleased to be a collaborative partner in the American Association of Museums’ Museums and Community Collaborations Abroad (MCCA) initiative with the OAS Art Museum of the Americas (AMA), the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) and the Museum of Art of El Salvador (MARTE) during the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters.
