Adjunct Gabriella Bulisova to Participate in OPEN SHOW DC

Adjunct Gabriella Bulisova will participate in OPEN SHOW DC "Our America: Social Issues and Circumstance". The evening will include a sample of her photographs and her multimedia presentation on formerly incarcerated women and men in Washington, D.C. There will also be presentations addressing such diverse subjects as DC public schools, small town development, social stratification and division in the south, and recognition of military benefits for LGBT partners

Interior Design Students to Participate in Festival of Lights

The Corcoran College of Art and Design’s Master of Interior Design Students will again participate in this year’s Festival of Lights. This wonderful Festival is part of the Interior Design program’s Advanced Lighting course, led by lighting designer Andrea Hartranft.  Students enrolled in this class have a specific interest in lighting design, many of whom plan to pursue it as a career and are focusing on it as part of their thesis.

BFA Photojournalism Student Featured on Washington Post Website

BFA Photojournalism student Jessica Carpenter's senior thesis is featured on the Washington Post's "Soccer Insider" column. The article and her work, Beyond the Game: The Pentagon Soccer Club, can be viewed here.  The video follows the Pentagon Soccer Club — a committed group of recreational players who work in the military and spend their lunch hour on the field.
