Art and the Book to exhibit at the12th Biennial Pyramid Atlantic Book Arts Fair and Conference

 

The graduate Art and the Book program has been selected an exhibitor at the upcoming 12th Biennial Pyramid Atlantic Book Arts Fair and Conference. This preeminent book arts event will showcase an array of innovative artists’ books and limited edition prints along with a rich array of notable speakers, demonstrations, special exhibitions and studio tours in the D.C. area. 

Muse as muse!

This summer, the Corcoran College of Art + Design partnered with Todd Gray’s Muse at the Corcoran to develop a class in which students gained real-world experience in brand development.  The class paired interior design students in a unique opportunity to collaborate together on the graphic identity of Muse. Students were tasked with fusing Todd Gray's culinary arts with the Corcoran's applied arts to develop a cohesive vision for the café's graphics and built environment.

Adjunct Instructor Lori Waselchuk Receives Pew Fellowship

Lori Waselchuk, adjunct instructor in photography, has received a 2012 fellowship from the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through Pew Fellowships in the Arts (PFA) based on her work in documentary photography.

The 2012 Pew Fellows were chosen in recognition of their extraordinary artistic achievements and the potential to use the fellowship to advance their work.
