Faculty Accomplishments: Muriel Hasbun

Our very own Muriel Hasbun, chair of photography and associate faculty, is exhibiting at the Maier Museum of Art, which features her work Protegida/Watched Over, as it was shown in the Venice Biennale (2003) and the Corcoran Gallery of Art (2004), as well as a selection of X post facto.

Faculty Development Grant Presentations

Faculty Development Grant Recipient presentations will be in the Auditorium on Monday, October 1 from 1:00-3:00. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about our faculty’s activities outside of the Corcoran walls as artists, researchers and presenters. Below are the most recent grant recipients in 2012. Kathryn Cornelius

Faculty Accomplishments: Mary Battiata

   

Mary Battiata, adjunct instructor in arts and humanities will have two paintings exhibited later this year at the U.S. Embassy in Managua, Nicaragua:  "Leaving You," oil on canvas, painted in 2012; and "Eleven," oil on canvas, 2011. The paintings will be shown through 2014 as part of the U.S. State Department's Art in Embassies program.

Faculty Accomplishments: Frank DiPerna

Frank DiPerna, The Ruesch Family Professor of Photography, and long-time instructor at the Corcoran will be having a solo exhibition, Found Objects, at Civilian Art Projects in Washington, DC from September 14 to October 20, 2012.  In a statement about the work Jayme McLellan, owner and director of the gallery, wrote,
