

Tuition and Fees
Upon registration for courses (including, but not limited to, academic, studio, directed studies, maintaining status, non-credit workshops and internships) students will be assessed tuition and fees based on the following scale:
i. Associate Level Tuition and Fees
- 2011-2012 AFA tuition: $998 per undergraduate credit hour (courses numbered 1000–4999).
- A mandatory $200 general fee is assessed to the student’s account during the student’s first semester of each academic year.
- A graduation fee of $150 is assessed to the student’s account during each graduate’s final semester.
- Payment is due by August 15 for the Fall semester, December 22 for the Spring semester, and May 18 for the Summer semester. For registration after a due date, full payment is immediately due upon registration.
ii. Bachelor Level Tuition and Fees
- 2011-2012 BA/BFA full-time tuition is $29,940.
- Full-time enrollment is defined as 12–18 credits per semester for two semesters, or $14,970 per semester.
- A $300 tuition deposit is required for all new undergraduate students.
- A mandatory $200 general fee is assessed to the student’s account during the student’s first semester of each academic year.
- A graduation fee of $150 is assessed to the student’s account during each graduate’s final semester.
- Payment is due by August 15 for the Fall semester, December 22 for the Spring semester, and May 18 for the Summer semester. For registration after a due date, full payment is immediately due upon registration.
iii. Part-time and Overage Tuition for Undergraduates
Tuition for students with written permission from the dean of students, dean of enrollment, or the director of academic advising to enroll at the Corcoran on a part-time basis is prorated at $998 per credit hour. Similarly, any student approved to enroll in more than 18 credits (whether for credit or audit status) during any given semester must pay an overage fee at the prorated tuition rate of $998 per credit hour for each additional credit.
iv. Graduate-Level Tuition and Fees
- 2011-2012 MA and MAT in Art Education tuition rate: $1,160 per graduate credit hour (courses numbered 5000 or above).
- 2011-2012 MA in Interior Design and MA in Exhibition Design tuition rate: $1,160 per graduate credit hour (courses numbered 5000 or above). A mandatory $50 technology fee is assessed during the student’s first semester of each academic year.
- 2011-2012 MA in the History of Decorative Arts tuition rate: $1,250 per graduate credit hour (courses numbered 5000 or above).
- 2011-2012 MA in Art and the Book tuition rate: $1,300 per graduate credit hour (courses numbered 5000 or above). A mandatory $450 studio fee is assessed per semester.
- 2011-2012 MA in New Media Photojournalism tuition rate: $1,300 per graduate credit hour (courses numbered 5000 or above). A mandatory $450 studio fee is assessed per semester.
v. Additional Graduate-Level Tuition and Fee Information
- A mandatory $200 general fee is assessed to each graduate student’s account during the student’s first semester of each academic year.
- Tuition for undergraduate courses is $998 per credit hour.
- A graduation fee of $195 is assessed to the student’s account during each graduate’s final semester.
- Payment is due by August 15 for the Fall semester, December 22 for the Spring semester, and May 18 for the Summer semester. For registration after a due date, full payment is due immediately upon registration.
- The Continuing Education tuition benefit for K-12 full-time art teachers does not apply to students who are enrolled in a degree program at the Corcoran.
